ALL SOLD

Ended up with a standard V-grind black blade Basic 11 from Blade, bought as a hedge against the possibility I wouldn’t connect on the asymmetrical grind version. I later did score the asym version, and don’t really need the extra.

I paid $283 inc. sales tax at the show, and the knife is marked $297 which we were told would be the price from Busse if they are offered in a ganzaa. With Busse’s flat-rate shipping charge of $14.95, that should bring total ganzaa price from Busse to about $312. If anyone can use one now for $315 SPF including insured shipping in conus, I’ll sell one for that. Postal money order only--not set up for Paypal.

I still have a new CG Desert Dogfather available for $185 Sold Pending Funds shipped/insured in conus. Again, money order only.

How much were the dog fathers? I thought they were cheaper.

Since you've introduced a question that reflects on the value of a knife in my thread, let me respond:

I think if you look at the sales history here on the Exchange for CG Desert Dogfathers over the past couple of years, you'll find that $185 shipped for a new one is a very good deal. Many have gone for significantly more than $200.

You can buy one cheaper at a show, it's true. Of course, the expense of going to a show will make the knife much more expensive than the cost of buying this one. I typically price knives for sale according to what I would expect to pay for one here on the Exchange if I were looking to buy at fair market value.

I will take it. Edit: The Basic 11

Email me with shipping info

By no means did I mean to question your pricing, this was intended to be sent as a private message with the intentions to determine some clarity for the pricing of the second knife as it related to the first. I by no means posted this with any intentions of malice. I appologize if I offended you in any way.

I take no offense. I can see you're new to the forums, so I'll respond one time to your last post and then let it go, although this kind of non-specific dialogue is frowned on here.

As for relative pricing between the two knives, the Basic 11 was just introduced and only has a few sales over the past week here on the Exchange with no reliable established market value yet. For that reason, I used the marked price from the show as a reference point for pricing and included a little info on the cost to show-goers as a courtesy. The CG Dogfather on the other hand has a well-established market history here.

Hope this helps,
Will
