Does anyone know where I can get the specs for a basic 3? O/A length and blade/handle material. I've searched already and can't seem to find anything.

Thanks!

Let's see now, hmmm... 3 feet, no that's not right, 3 cm, nope that's not it, 3mm, nah that can't be right... heck I give up!

Basic #3

The Busse Combat Basic #3 is small enough to use for game skinning and as a food preparation knife, and it's asymmetrical edge geometry will make short work of most cutting tasks.
Best of all, with the INFI steel, if you happen to nick a bone when cleaning or cutting the animal, the chances of edge deformation are much, much lower due to the extreme strength of the blade material.

The Busse Combat Basic #3 now comes with a leather sheath for secure carry. A Kydex option will be available soon.

All Busse Combat knives are GUARANTEED against ANY unintentional damage FOR LIFE!

xaman, nice choice. Just understand that it is MODIFIED INFI, not standard INFI.

Yeah, BUT from what everything I've read the difference between the two is not apparent, expect for the possiblilty of mINFI being a little more corrosion sensitive.

Hey WM, I've also heard that MINFI was a little higher on the Rc scale. More in the 60 range. I thought it was prone to chipping rather than rolling or denting due to this. Your thoughts?

Ok folks,

Modified INFI cannot be readily Told from regular INFI in the field.

Not more sensitive to rust, not more likely to chip.

Not quite the edge holding capacity, I read about the difference in tests, but I do not see a difference when I use them.

Edge holding better than (in soft clean material) any other non-INFI knives known to man so far.

If you like the handle material, and it is comfortable for you these knives(the Basics) Have no non-INFI equals in the world.

SR-101 is more flexable, and better for cutting dirty/gritty material, and better IMHO for chopping mild steel bars and cement blocks. But does not compare in edge retention in soft clean material.

I have and use/abuse abit all four types of knives, Early INFI, Modified-INFI, later INFI and SR-101.

I have a certain fondness for the Basics.

P.S. I know "Secrets" about Modified INFI, get some,,,,,you will like it if you like the handles.
