DROOL!
That is one awesome piece of INFI!!!!!!! :D

Congratulations!!!!

The smooth-coat blades like that one are 1/8" to 1/4" longer than the later crinkle coats and are also typically thinner in the edge, resulting in a little more efficient cutting geometry. Great, great blade.

LOVE my B7!!! Really fantastic blade.
Congrats on a great knife!!!

Brings back memories! Basic 7 and 9 were my first Busse knives. Thanks for posting and congratulations on a great acquisition!

Thanks for the pics. I have posted the sharpening instructions in the "Asymmetric Edge Resource Thread"

Are the old and new blades identical in profile? It's hard to tell from the pic.

They are similar in profile, nearly same lenght with the tan/new version a tad wider (1/4"). Been adding more comparison pics.

resinguy: I`we changsed most of them pics of the sheet with better quality ones (for your wiewing pleasure and for using one "Asymmetric Edge Resource Thread")- shame on me for the first batch of pics...

LOVE my B7!!! Really fantastic blade.
…
stjones, I totally agree! If I had to pick only one Busse knife to keep, the Basic 7 might be the one.

Thanks for the pics. I have posted the sharpening instructions in the "Asymmetric Edge Resource Thread"
