I live in Nyc , have bought and sold HUNDREDS of knives there have never been an issue , just say it's a camp tool, it's not illegal to sell it here , just can't carry it , good luck In your sale and with your car.

That is good to know, I've just heard a few stories of others having issues with shipping to NYC.
