While I was practicing my shelters the other day I shot a vid of some BASIC knife techniques for my youtube channel as usual nothing revolutionary, I wasn't going to post it as this stuff is probably common knowledge for most of you folks, and some of my technique is sloppy, but sharing is always fun, (and it give me a chance to wear my favorite hat on camera).I plan on doing another in the near future involving some other methods as well.

Batoning to a knife? OMG that is abusing! :D

Just kidding, nice vid. Watched it when I first came to check up on BF earlier :)

Good stuff bro ... it looks like your gettin real comfortable in front of the camera.

Excellent vid, Riley. Really well done and I learned from it.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the compliments guys..Also if you guys have vids, pics or descriptions of other methods feel free to post'em up here...

Nice

I had never thought of holding the knife the way you did for working on knots etc - gonna have to try that.

Another nice video, good stuff in there. And I want to play in your wood pile :D

Can I give one piece of advice - don't angle the camera so that you have to lie down to talk into the camera! ;) I look forward to your vids Riley - they are great.

That's great, thanks man! I would love to see more of this type of video- which actually teaches you something. It's a lot more useful and informative than a the review or "destructive testing" videos you usually see on BFC. Kudos to you, sir!

When you become a true master at that last technique, you find that the rapped flapping motion created by your elbows actually levitates you off the ground :D :D

Nice vid!

As always, another great video. Thanks for posting the video. I think we all enjoy them very much.

Now worries brother...I'm still new to the self filming thing... I really liked your vids as well and am looking forward to more...

That last one is new to me. Who would have thought such a weird grip/angle would work so well. Gotta try it.:D
