i have some tools id like to sell, im having to get out of the knife business and have some grinders , a surface grinder, etc id like to make some one a good deal on, if i purchase the basic membership can i post this items for sale

Gold gets you into the exchange section, but you need knifemaker to post in the knifemaker for sale section.

Related ?, if you pay for gold can you later upgrade for the difference or do you end up paying for both?

And is there an exchange area for components? I could find completed knives but not the bits and pieces. I'm making more micarta than I can use.

I need to upgrade at some point in order to sell some things. I would like to be able to post in the exchange, and eventually perhaps in the Knifemaker's gallery or for sale area, but at this point I certainly don't consider myself a real 'Knifemaker'. Does Gold or Platinum allow posting in both the Exchange and Makers areas?

sorry guys im not going to shell out that much to post some items for sale , im getting out of the business, i have been a member for a few years and have posted only a few times, i mean i have 3 kmg grinders with vfd do you think im going to come close to getting what they are worth out of them, i know some of you are saying what is 40 bucks to make a thousand, to me it is 40 more i lost, ill have everything posted on the practical machinist

You can always sign up at KnifeNetwork and post your stuff in "General--Items and Bargains". No membership fees required.
KMG's, BTW, have very good resale value; the early ones get nearly their original purchase price.

Your absolutely right that you'll get nowhere near the original purchase price for those KMG's. What pieces of crap! In fact, I'll take one off your hand for $300 if you pay the shipping. ;)

You should be able to sell those puppies at a great price. Try ebay or Craig's list.
