Hello my dear brothers,
I had this idea for a long time in my head and i worked on it here and there but only today with God's good will i mansged to finish it.
It is nothing fancy but a nice handmade multi tool that will do the job
All tools in it are professional grade so to be sure they are indeed working tools that wont bend, blunt or break.
There are only 3 blades in it, the ones i considered the most used:
- custom handmade 80crv2 high carbon tool steel knife blade with a razor sharp grind and a forged finish
- professional Swiss made semi flexible bimetal saw blade
- professional Swiss made file
On top of these the MT also has an industrial grade bit holder (USH-made in Germany). On the back of the handle 2 inch marks are milled just in case
The scales are vintage micarta for a light and strong setup. The blades are kept in place by friction only so it also fits in the 'non locking blade' regions. The pivot is brass while the washers are stainless steel.
Everything is made so the whole setup can be dissasembled in pieces (i myself hate riveted friction blades so this was a main condition
).
It is for sure not a fancy tool but only to have the advantage of simplicity that leaves almost no space for failure
This one's price is 150 usd (shipping and PayPal fees included).
All and only the best, God bless,
Bogdan
