ok, the landscape does not matter whether your in the Rocky mountains, Georgia swamp, Deep woods or Desert or in a hostile enviroment at Gentleman's club (LOL) What 2 knives would you have on you that you own and why ?:D I'll go 1ST.EDC no matter the day or where I go Leatherman wave & Rat3 are on my belt.

First Post!!!

I've been carrying my Benchmade rukus with me lately and my SOG Field pup on my belt, oh, and my SOG Powerlock on there too.

gerber gator 2 plain edge on my belt and my NWA forum knife in my bag:D (when I get it in January)

Right now, I'm decked with the EDC that Ian van Reenen made for me ( a lot like a skinner with a 3" blade) and my SOG Recon Bowie. Pretty soon that will change to my EDC from IVR and a Rat-7 combo D2 with a Leatherman Charge TTi and firesteel in the sheath.

That's not fair, you cheated!!! :grumpy:. LOL. Great way to cheat christmas in the other thread. :D.

Knife #1: Valiant golok, 12" blade, full convex, differentially tempered
Why? for firewood
Knife #2: SAK Alox Farmer
Why? it has a saw

I know you said "no matter where", but I truly can't answer that. If I was in the north (where I live now) one wouldn't be a knife at all. It would be my Wetterlings medium hunter. The other would be my Vic farmer.

If it was in the south, say the Georgia swamps, it would be either a large fixed blade, or a machete, and my Vic Farmer.

I know. It's not my fault though. I didn't mean to cheat. lol. I had to open the cookies folder to delete all the cookies that I didn't want to keep. I keep the ones that keep my auto logins and stuff like that working. Since I clear the other ones everyday. There's never that many so it's a quick process. It just so happens that she didn't do the same. ;)

My special Bura 15" AK Khukuri with one of my Moras. Pretty much covers it all for me. This particular AK has a little thinner blade and is much better balanced than any of my other Khuks. A machete might be advantageous in a jungle enviroment but I think that I could make due with this combo in any environment.

:thumbup:What a great thread idea.

I would go to the amazon jungle with Jeff Randall. I would take a Martindale golok and small FB, like a Mini Northstar (don't own one yet but since we are dreaming).

The Jungle is the most interesting place I would like to go. A close Second would be Mount. Kilimanjaro and a safari.

Everytime I walk out my front door, it's a survival situation, here in New Joisey!:D
Everyday, it's a: Busse AD, Large or small Sebenza, and a SAK Tinker.
Now, if I'm going hunting or camping/backpacking, then I'll have a small Fiskars Axe, or a large chopper with me, in lieu of the Sebbie, and maybe I'll take the Fallkniven F1 just to give it some exercise.

SOG Powerlock-Ranger RD7

*The SOG is useful, the RD is intimidating. Both work well in hostile environs and the RD7 is the minimum when dealing with 2 legged critters in crappy terrain.

For dressy occasions where its needed to survive with flair and style i9n a sheeple friendly manner :
