Here is just a quick clip of me throwing the BATAC. I posted it in my USPS thread but thought I'd give it its own thread for "use". Sorry for the quality. It was getting dark.

My NO-E feels better as a thrower so far. Perhaps because I have practiced with it more.

Anyway, I will post more pics when I start using it. Perhaps an early morning batonning session followed by a fire. The more I handle this knife the more I like it. And I already like it big time.

Feel free to post any of your user pics here of your BATACs. :)

That dog of yours has this look on his face like,

"Oh, Crap! He's throwin' them knives again! Git me out of here..."

:D

YOUR DOGGY IS VERY SMART
Looks like he is experienced from the past memory!

Man, you always provide kick ass video for us. Bravo for you

Thanks bro. I'm just trying to give a little back as I get lots of good stuff from everyone here. Plus it's just good fun!

I am thinking about piggy-backing the BATAC on to my AK. That seems like it would be a wicked combo!

Man, you are good! I'm hoping you filmed lots of throws and posted the best toss. But, if you can do that all the time I wanna be your manager. We'll get a hot chick for a target and you can astound audiences all over the world. $40 a ticket and we will sell autographed knives at the concession stand.
Great video. You've inspired me. If the wife will allow I'm gonna start practicing in the living room. Knife throwing that is. Post more like this. I could watch all day.....Thanks again

Hey, we can have a throwing contest at Blade. We can practice throwing knives at the empty dark ops stand once again.

lol that's a target worth hitting.

I only tossed the BATAC a hand full of times as it was getting dark. I missed the first couple, nailed the third (in the video), it was hit and miss. My dogs were doing cartwheels in front of me. :p So nothing exceptional yet. More practice needed.

I did notice that if the knife did not hit tip first it usally hit with the skull crusher leaving a nice dent in the wood. So either way it would do some damage.

Again, just a fun tension breaker activity. What really needs to be done is some batonning and cutting with the little guy. :D

Here is a quick clip of the BATAC doing some batonning and prying. I was using some spare oak plywood which is really tough.

Nice videos Tyrkon! I like the Badger a lot too. It "feels" a little handle heavy to me, but once I got over that, it seems like it would be an awesome small blade -- a real jack of all trades for everything except chopping.

I think you're right about the combo w/the AK. If I was starting with an AK for my big knife, the BATAC would be about the perfect smaller companion.

I did do some chopping while gripping further back on the handle. It did o.k. but not being to forward heavy, as XAMAN pointed out, it's not a designated chopper for sure. I think adding a tail/lanyard to add in the grip while chopping would help. I will leave the chopping to my bigger blades. :)

Those are some great videos (as always) - Thanks!

I'm lucky enough to have Mulder's passaround SHBA on my desk in front of me and my new BATAC beside it. Good timing, huh?

Anyway, it's interesting that the balance point of the two is exactly the same, right behind the forward-most tube fastener. Not the most scientific test, but that's where they balanced on my finger. To me, this makes them very user-friendly in their intended utility roles by keeping the balance very neutral in the hand. Seems to be a Badger trait. :D

Those are some cool vids, It would take me all day to get video of me throwing one and making it stick, let alone hitting the spot I was throwing at.
Very nice.
