How did it do with batoning? Not much tip sticking out... did you baton just in front of the handle? :confused:

Good lookin' watermelon too! Me wants some now! :D

Great pics, how did you like it during the whole thing? Hows the edge....still good n'sharp? It looks really good in those pics.
 
For a short blade, it batons well due to the thickness and flat grind. I did hit the tip with no worries since it is stout all the way to the end. It works quite well for splitting smaller pieces that you might want to use as tinder.

I'll try to get a close-up of the scratches for Bravado. :D

Nice shots....along with first usage. Love it. I can't wait for the store to let some loose so I can get my designated 'beater'. Anyone know if that wish will come true?

Pretty good fit. I cut a notch in one corner to let the guard go down into the slip a little further.

Also, I heated it up and tightened both the flair at the top and the blade edge side (just a bit... not much at all).
 
That LE sure looks nice... I'm kinda wishing I would have snagged one of those instead of the SE!

How much was the LE going for? Did you get it off the BCS or the ganzaaa? (I don't remember BATAC LEs on the ganzaaa but I guess I could be wrong!)

Anyone know?

BATAC LEs were, I think, $397 from the Shop.

I suspect Skunk will have some in the not-too-distant future.

I bought my SJTAC LE from BCS, as I recall.

guyon, other than the notches, did you have to reshape the insert? does it give a rash to the le?

A word to those who have never put a satin blade in a kydex sheath. You're gonna get some light scratches, no matter how tight or how loose the sheath or slip is. Just the nature of kydex. Lightly oiling the blade and the inside of the sheath helps some, but it won't prevent 100% of the hairline scratches. If you want to use it and still baby it to some degree, go leather.
 
Arrrrrrgh....please no more pictures of this BA....Pleaseeeee!!! They are looking too fat, too sweet, too cool and now too functional! I don't have anymore money!!!!!!!!!!!!
