Well it was just a matter of time. The Badger came relatively sharp but nothing extraordinary. After putting it through its paces it was finally time to get medieval. Not too bad for a fatty. :p

Paper cut test. The phone book comes later. ;) Then the arm hair shaving. Sorry but it's dark here and I am an albino. :D

Once again, the Edge Pro to the rescue.:thumbup:

Thanks guys. I haven't been able to go out to the great out doors a lot this year so I have to figure out creative ways to use my INFI.

I am thinking about getting an edge pro. It seems like they do good work and i am in the need of a good sharpner. The EZE sharpener has also caught my eye.

I tell you what, I wish I had the skills that some of you have at free hand sharpening. I can get my knives shaving sharp freehand but not like i have seen some of you hogs such as Justabuyer do. But I am working on it. :D

I asked Santa (the wifey) for more sharpening stones for the EP. :D

What I like about INFI is that it can take on a really sharp edge and still retain its girth for lateral stress. I think I hear some prying in its near future.

christ..where in socal do you live? wanna do that to my BATAC? .....and maybe a few other blades? haha.

I need to grab one of those edge pros.

Spend the money on a EdgePro. It is well worth the money. I recommend it to anyone that wants to easily get a scary sharp edge.

I can get my knives that sharp with a fixed sharpener (AKA my Lansky sharpening system) but if I try freehand it is like I handed my knife to a handicapped blind person on crack with a diamond wheel high speed grinder and a hack saw. I am trying to talk my self into trying the sandpaper/mouse pad/block way to re convex the edge on my bowie (it used to be a convex edge, but when I finally had to break down and sharpen it I did it on a Lansky and have been sad since).

Do you use your Edgepro start-to-finish to get that edge? How long does that take??? I tried reprofiling an M16 bayo and it took forever. Perhaps I didn't start out with the most aggressive stone.

DANG! That looks nice, tho.

I remember trading with thom brogan I think and the knife he gave me had a tripple ground edge on it that was so sharp it was scary. He made a convex out of what looks like an edge pro sharpening system. I have wanted to try that sometme cuz it looked cool.

I have an Edge Pro that works awesome! Once crappy, dull kitchen knives have given me scars once sharpened on the EP. I got a user ZTBM that was nicked up and a little corroded on the edge, but once my Edge Pro was done with her she was scary sharp and shiny!

Lovely job on that edge, Tyrkon! Thanks for the video, too!

A girl needs a knife...a sharp knife!

I usually start with the 2nd most aggressive stone. Makes things move along much faster. I use the edge pro from start to finish and perhaps strop it on a leather belt at the end.

Now if I could just learn to get knives as sharp as BAN does free hand.

I think BAN should be a verb for getting a knife scary sharp. Like, "I'm going to go BAN on my Badger tonight".

:thumbup::D

I think i am going to get an edge pro now. Can you sharpen any size knife (lets say the FBMLE) on it?

Does anyone know a website that sells them for a good price?
