I was contacted by an Aldo Bruno who is looking for makers interested in 1084 in 1 1/2 X 1/4 dimensions. Many of the people who expressed interest in the past apparently have changed e-mail addresses because he got a lot of bounces when he sent out a query recently.

Apparently he will need enough volume to justify a batch from a steel mill so he's wants to know the level of interest.

I would be interested if it was in 1/8" thickness, 1/4" is a bit thick for me personaly. My only use of 1084 at pressent is for damascus. 1/4" thick would be great for bowies though. Glad to see something coming of it anyway.
 
He sent me an email and the price was $3.25/lb with a .25 break at 100 and 300. He said delivery was set for early Oct.
