I believe that machete is not the heavy duty version of the Barteaux. Still a great price.

I can't make the link work, but based on Hoodoo's comment, I will provide this.

The Economy models are thinner, and have a handle lacking a D-guard.

The heavy Duty modles have a thicker blade and include a D-guard.

Now, the economy are probably fine, though I find the finish values to be very low, and therefore the handle uncomfortable.

I own two Heavy Duty models, a 12" and an 18". I gave Cliff Stamp the same, and Jeff Randall an 18" Heavy Duty.

If you like, you can contact Barteaux and they will send you a catalog with all their models listed, with images.
