i was blown away. i found myself still absorbing the movie 15 minutes after we left the theater.
an oscar for ledger to be sure. amazing performance, and overall a well paced rollercoaster ride of a movie. twists and turns galore. and not just for the sake of shock value. there were many scenes that would not have played out in lesser movies as they did in dark knight.
i also agree that eckhart's performance was outstanding as well. the character is nearly as complex as the joker.
my only complaint, albeit a minor one, is the choice of maggie gyllenhall (sp?) for the female lead. i just think she's odd looking, and dont find her acting terribly interesting.
btw, the other two in the "blown away" category were my theater experiences of "aliens" and "black hawk down".
