Here is the update to my previous post. Dang you guys started setting the bar high... I already posted the materials and the batoning pictures....
A note, all work, and I mean ALL work, was done with the BK2..... A BK9 or BK5 woulda been nice though
Total time spent, about 12-13 hours... Lot of time spent taking down the trees, sectioning them and batoning them....
Dang notching took forever.... My hands are covered in blisters, for the sake of, "only Becker" (my or Clich's quote, I'm too lazy to see if clich said that) I didn't use gloves. I also have a sizeable red spot on my chest from using it as an anchor point for notching....
Before notching

I thought it'd be great to use the bowdrill set I made with my BK2, but I got lazy..... Sorry
Fire will be up in a short bit. I have to wait for the family to get home and see the cabin.
It is 7:30 ish my time, so, hopefully the fam will get home soon and I can burn this puppy. If they don't I will do it without them.
AAR: Wear gloves. Ditch the stupid chord wrap, it was fun playing with it, not fun using it. Convex rocks.
Thanks for looking guys. God bless and have a great night,
Cole
Hmmmm, I thought I rotated those pictures.... Sorry
