I am thinking about picking up a Schrade SCHF42D, one thing I would do with it is baton firewood for small fires. Because the 42D is a FFG I wanted to know if it would be prone to waving, chipping, bending etc? I know a big part of it is HT, so if anyone has any input on Schrade's HT that would be helpful as well, I have seen in reviews that it is good. However, I like to ask here because I feel people here would be more critical and challenge things more. Any feedback on the 42D or Schrade's newer bushcraft series would be great.
Thanks for any help.
