Batsons

Joe, I spoke with Dr Batson at the show in Little Rock and would like to come to the symposium, but it is a long drive. Has anyone here been to it before, and do you know if Dr Batson presents any info on antique bowies?
Thanks, Tad Lynch

Where/when is it? I notice you're in FL, so hopefully this is something I can drive to. Darn northeast hoggin' all the events. :p

It's just outside Birmingham, Alabama, the 1st of weekend April. And let me tell you it's a hoot!

Everyone is in a good mood and talking knives. If you need or want something it usually there on a table or in the back of someones truck.

The Demo's are very informal and you can ask anything of anyone. I believe it's the place to be for new makers. Blacksmiths, Bladesmiths, and Knifemakers alike.

I plan on going, Saturday at least.... depending on what vacation I have left after my surgery and recovery.

Edited to add: If you want to find Dale look for the ambulance ;)

I'll be there. This is one of those "Don't-dare-miss-it" events. There will be folks from all over the U.S.

Dale is right...... Very informal and a great bunch of folks.

Robert
