Next up at Dream Burls are seven blocks of a first time species for Dream Burls: stabilized (by K&G) Spalted Ambrosia Maple. If you have the right eye for the figure on these you might also see an amazing knife handle in your future. Not for the faint of heart, these are loaded with color, contrast and character. Not priced yet. What would you pay for a piece? Shooting for sometime end of this week to early next week for posting.

$1 each..... and I'll take them all.

You have to post a price to sell in The Exchange. Auctioning and such are violations. As stated in the rules at the top of the page, "..clearly list the selling price. There is no "testing the waters" or "gauge buyer interest.."

My offer at $1 each stands :)

Interesting. I have often listed upcoming items without prices and was only cited once before. Happened when I first joined, but I questioned the call and my post was accepted and has been since. If it's the line "What would you pay....?, that was rhetorical, but I won't do it again. If this is a new policy my apologies.

I'm not the mod here in The Exchange, but the rule has always been the same. Not a big deal, as you are a regular seller and link all sales to your web site. I was just pointing out the matter of your "what would you pay" question.

If the item is not for sale yet, then it is clearly in violation, as that is specifically mentioned, too. You must have the item in hand and ready to deliver. That would also come under the testing the waters part.

I appreciate the input and certainly will not pose questions like that again. As for announcing future inventory, that is exactly what I requested and received permission to do when I signed up. If that is being rescinded I need to hear from the forum moderator to discuss same with him.

No problem with announcing future inventory, just don't "test the waters" with pricing request or ranges.

Allowed - "new blocks of Ambrosia maple coming next week. Check the web site after Monday."
Not allowed - "New blocks of Ambrosia maple coming next week. What would you pay for these?" or"...."Does $30 each sound good for these?"
