Battle Grade Fusion Steel Heart and Baby Boom are NOW LIVE!!!!!

recent offerings seem to be appx 3 months, some faster, some slower

I'd expect longer. The SFNO BG and AMS BG went on sale on November 4 (I ordered mine on November 7), and so far, I haven't even heard of anyone's credit card being dinged. That's 16 weeks and counting on those, and probably about another two weeks (literally) from the time people start getting charged until they start showong up in people's mailboxes. There have been a few things that shipped in just a couple or three weeks, but those seem to be rare exceptions. And with all the "Operation Two Weeks" stuff going on, I don't see those wait times gettng any shorter any time soon.

The American Regulator was probably a record. About 3 weeks order to mailbox, maybe less.

I'm tempted by both of these offerings....but, unfortunately, a recent house issue has me hemorrhaging money; so I'm doing the responsible thing by avoiding "unnecessary" expenses. Being a grownup sucks sometimes .
Buy'em up, guys - the faster they sell out, the shorter my suffering.

Okay thanks for the feedback John!

So this being my first Busse, I'm wondering about the fusion handle on this BG model. The website only shows one pic of the knife with a G-10; I guess there is also something called magnum slabs but looks like they are not available on this one. I ordered Micarta and I'm curious about what they will look like. Does anyone have a close up photo of the style of micarta slabs that will be used on the Battle Grade Fusion Steel Heart?

kjd2121, that looks like the slabs on my new Ratweiler.
But I was thinking the fusion style slabs on the Busse's were different, can anyone confirm?

Being unable to resist the iconic FSH, I went with a 3/16" Sage blade with Maroon Canvas. Torn between Muddy, Tanker, and Sage.

"Iconic" -- that's it. ^^^
I was trying to describe the FSH the other day and I said "Definitive Busse." But Iconic is a great word.

Hmm, no answers on this?
I guess I can contact Busse next week.

Boom. There it is. RG, you da MAN.
Now that's what I'm talkin about. So I'm thinking THAT is the micarta that will be on the BGFSH, is that correct?

Very interesting texture; kinda like heavy fish scales up front and smaller texture in the back. And there a palm swell / curve in the center, right? or are they flat?

I was done buying. Really I was! Then these FSH threads tellig me I'm not a real Busse guy unless I own one. End result is a fatty in tanker grey and maroon scales will be traveling to just north of the Dallas metroplex

I have a feeling we'll get another iconic blade next week. FBM Battle Grade, which you'll also need to score to be a real Busse guy. :)

Nice. I think you made a good move there; these BGB's may not be around again for years. Very limited runs. They made the original SR-101 Busse Combat blades back in 2001. And since that time, they've been flooded by requests for more SR-101, because people love the performance of the steel and they love the price which is a bonus. Grey and maroon should look great on that Steel Heart.
