I really like the Trough Raider, I have no regrets for letting go of the BK20 and 29. I have actually amassed quite a collection of Busse and Bussekin knives in the last year (19 and counting) . While the TR is very capable and can hold its own with the BK20/29 I find myself using my BB13 and D-Guard Battle mistress the most (see page 1 for pics). If I want to get really "Medieval" on some trees and limbs, the Hog Nose War Sword and Rattle Hawk are always nearby...How are you liking the trough raider? Do you like it better than the bk20/29?
I have one of these. It needs stripping, but I've sworn off strippers (wait... that came out wrong... although it is correct.... nevermind). I've stripped a couple recently that have given me a devil of a time because I can't get all the carburization off the steel. I've been fighting a DS6 with leftover carburization forever. And it is at the worst possible place, right in front of the Resiprene. So anyway... I need to get mine (SoS) back out and use it to get some of the coating worn down, sharpen it, and make it a near-daily user. They're a great profile. I always thought it seemed like it was very slightly hollow-ground.Busse Battle Grade Son of Swat
This model is easily one of my top 3 favorite models from Operation Two Weeks. You do not see these for sale often and I suggest the reason for this is that those who have managed to snag one over the years know how awesome they are and WILL NOT let their hooves off of them!
This one was pretty much brand new when I received it and I did not measure the angles as it came factory. I reprofiled it to roughly 12 degrees per side and now it is a very impressive cutting machine. 12 degrees per side is not exactly weak, for reference, it's the standard Mora edge angle. SR-101 is a fine choice for a knife this size as it takes and holds a very nice edge for this geometry.
RIP Battle Grade & SR-101... I was a long time proponent of SR-101 steel for virtually everything and would always choose SR-101 over INFI given the price difference from the factory. I truly believe most people would never notice the difference aside from corrosion resistance, SR-101 is basically a non-stainless INFI in my opinion.

Battle Grade Fusion Battle Mistress... or was that NOT a part of O2W?Looking back, it is amazing how many beastly Battle Grade choppers came out of O2W... Pork Chop, WTF, BB13, Boom Parang, Hognose War Sword... I'm sure I've missed something.
Oops, I thought I had that one in there. I think it was an O2W offering.Battle Grade Fusion Battle Mistress... or was that NOT a part of O2W?
