I really want a Combat Battle Mistress, I just want to know when Busse is going to do another production run on the Battle Mistress. Or if they will? Does anyone have any information?
 
The closest thing you will find to a Mistress will be the Nuclear Meltdown Fusion Steel Heart (NMFSH), hopefully released in the next few months. It will be .5'' shorter than a standard BM length (which is approximately 10''), but just as effective at chopping as a Mistress. I can assure you it will be an instant classic and a new favorite chopper of many a cutlery enthusiast! Otherwise, you will have to keep an eye on the Bussekin exchange and deal with secondary market prices. If you keep a keen eye out, you WILL find a good deal from one of the generous members on this wonderful forum. Good luck and welcome!

The exchange here is probably your best bet. Prices are generally better than you will find on the online auction sites. They are awesome knives. Good luck in your search.
 
Welcome the the Busse Forum!!

Busse seldom does the exact same knife again. So if you are waiting for a CG FBM with the corrugations, you will wait a very long "two weeks". The Exchange is your freind, or post a WTB.

I had a similar question when I first came to Blade Forums and most of the responses were to check the exchange for any used ones selling. Although to answer you question about a new BM I'm sure Jerry will release another one someday being a popular seller but for anytime soon I'm doubtful. If your looking for new you will probably will have to either custom shop one or try a gaanza.
 
In Busse-speak a Battle Mistress means a 10"-11" blade. BC never releases the same exact knife twice but Jerry has hinted that the next Battle Mistress will be a Nuclear Meltdown, Light Brigade version of the original Straight Handle Battle Mistress. It should be worth the wait. :)

+1 definately worth the wait.

I know you are asking about a battle mistress, I have a battle mistress a dogfather and a b11 among others. I would recommend looking for a B11 for an INFI chopper, great balance and a comfortable handle
 
Stay tuned. 2012 should be a good year for you if you are patient. If you can't wait then pay attention to the exchange as I'm sure something will come along to meet your needs.

I didnt need my crystal ball this time either :)
 
or you can wait for the new straight handled light brigade nuclear melted battle mistress that should be out in "two weeks" ;) and get it for cost.
 
If you want to be sure it will be made again buy about 20 of one model and make sure you pay about 20 times it's original price for it.
Then when the price gets high enough Jerry will make the exact same model making your knifes worthless and tell you "Bad Deal-E-Oh".
You then can buy the knife you want super cheap.
