Battle Mistress

It's been a while since the original pics came out of the Fusion BM. Does anyone know if they intend to still have those couple of ridges on the spine? Don't really understand the purpose of them, and feel it detracts from the look of the knife.

Any thoughts or inside info on this?

Beside the great looks? On my SH Variant it seems to help put the weight where you want it towards the end for chopping. IMO Could be wrong:rolleyes:

Here's a pic.

And this should help you figure out when the Battle Mistress will be available. Just plug in the values that are known, and pay particular attention to the "Guess" equation (green and double underlined).

What would we do without Euler's formula...makes solving differential equations so much fun!!

Hmmm. I hate to quibble, but I think the initial assumptions aren't quite right. I get the shakes whenever I see it, but I think you really should have started with the wave equation. I'm assured that a tensor approach is really easiest but passed out before I could fully grasp the horror.

Wave equation??? C'mon guys...its the equation of motion for spring-mass-damper one degree of freedom system (or for you electrical engineering fans, a mechanical analog to an LCR circuit)

Huh???? ...waves......math....waves..... huh?....omg flashbacks...need drink......i know 1 thing and that is when the FBM lands on mother earth (aka doorstep) there will be SHOCK-waves like you’ve never imagined possible

i wanna see a new blade on the busse website and she better be a mean **peeeeeeeeeep**!!!! :foot:

Yes it is. But it's not the right equation for describing behavior related to predicting when events like shock waves from a landing FBM or the propagation of the FBM from Jerry's brain into the real world and outward to the HOG's. See http://www.sgi.com/fun/java/john/wave-sim.html and http://webphysics.davidson.edu/Faculty/wc/WaveHTML/node4.html

But more importantly, where's the FOLDER and where is PORKERSON!!!!?

PS - And what Miknifemanyoudinner said. Compared to a FBM a War Boar looks to be only good for scratching.

You guys keep talking math and such, I'm just gonna have to have a drink or three so I don't feel bad for it not making snese. :D

Why does this photo look like a bad photoshop job??
fbm02_strabs_blade2003.jpg

The center portion of the blade looks like it was tacked on, as an afterthought.. Heck, the edge (and the spine) doesn't even line up!!

that is probably due to high jpeg compression

Anybody know if the FBM will be offered in .250 or .270 like the HH? Seems like .270 would be a good fit for the longer FBM blade.

yeah,,

this look about right to me,

all my calculations came out exactly the same:thumbup:

very, very simple,,

anybody have any problems figuring it out??
