I want to start a discission on the usability, etc. of small folders. I'm talking about the sog sculptura, al mar slb, Spydie mouse, etc. like, 2" or under. I think that some may just rise to the top, and others get tossed in the drawer.

Also, I was watching the simpsons last night, where homer got married in vegas with flanders to some hookers, and homer says "Oh, I'm miserable"
Lenny : Hey, I thoought a guy with 2 wives would be happy!
carl:No, you're thinking of 2 Knives
Moe (holding 2 knives): this does feel pretty good!
the wav file would be a real find, I'm looking.

I bought a Spyderco Mouse but it sits in my drawer, never used. Its just a bit TOO small. I prefer a 4 inch closed folder. Still small, easy to carry, but big enough for most jobs. I carry a Small Sebenza off duty and a Spyderco Delica on duty.

I'm looking for a simuliar knife:D

I like small folders a lot but haven't found any to remain an EDC for more than a few months. Having said that... I really like the Chive. The blade is almost 2" and snaps to attention with the Onion SpeedSafe thingy. It feels rugged and locks up nicely. Friends have used them hard for over a year with nothing but good things to say. I use mine for a money clip.

I wear a suit all day and I always have a small folder by itself in my front left pocket. The spyderco mouse is okay but seems to colect alot of lint. About a month ago I bought a benchmade 310 so far it is GREAT cuts like a much bigger knife, the fit and finish are of the highest level, just like the big benchmades only smaller :)

Everybody has a different notion of what a small knife is. But among the truly small, keychain style knives, I like the Spyderco LadyBug II and Jester. I am admittedly a biased Spyderco groupy, but IMHO nobody does "small" better.

The LadyBug II, with its straight, serrated edge, really cuts hard materials far better than you would expect. I am a big fan of the Rescue models, and the LadyBug II lets me always have a similar knife when I can't carry something larger.

The Jester is a work of art in small knife design. I have one with burgundy Micarta scales. It feels great when held in the standard grip. And, with the curved spine and grooves on the tip, you can lay your whole finger along the spine and get very precise control.

Hey Dijos, if you find that .WAV, let us know. I saw that episode a while back and spent a long time searching for the show transcripts. I would have just settled for an accurate quote from that scene. I never did find it.

I like my Mouse better than my Navigator, Sculptura and all my little Buck lockbacks. The Mouse just sort of falls into place after opening it like the others don't, I wish it had a little more room for the pinky, but then again thats what large knives are for. For it's size, it's as hard a user knife as you'll find.
The sculptura proved to be just too dam hard to open with no hole/stud and I don't like the way the handle feels, the arclock pails in Comparison to the Axis as well.

You mean the sculptura isn’t an auto? I love that knife but I though it was an auto, so stayed away from it  I feel stupid.

Nope, it's basically a lil knife with an imitation Axis lock. It's a solid little knife but I guess Im spoiled with my BM's. if it had a thumbstud or hole I would definately keep it, but it's going soon.

You guys really need to look at the small CS Trailguide. Small, thin, flat ground, carbon steel, this one has some great qualities, and is pretty inexpensive also.
