Battle Rat Bested by T-Bone

The only questions I have, to ask is: Was it a rib eye, porterhouse, or t bone steak and what kind of sauce do you use? Also, how do you like your steak cooked?

It was a T-bone steak, and I like my steaks medium rare.

Does anyone know what degree of edge the battle rats come with from the factory?

when i first got my bm-E i went to the creek bank to test it on some willow. i bent a sapling over to cut it and to my surprise (back then anyway :D ) the blade went clean through and hit a big rock. thank god i had enough sense to cut to the side of my body. wouldn't want to try it out on my leg bone. it flattened a small portion near the point but NO chipping. i used a butcher's steel to realign the edge and a spyderco triangle to sharpen it up a bit. that asy. edge is definitely tough and maybe you should ask for this type from the swamp

I'll have to say SRKW ROCKS!!!! That was too cool of Jenifer I only saw room for an incredible tounge lashing at the thoughts of inntentionally destroying a knife to get a new one. But I guess that shows what a lady she is.
Peace

I don't feel that "intentionally destroying" the knife is in keeping with the spirit of fairness that we have extended to our customers in our warranty. However, it is important to point out that we do not shrink from our claims or from our warranty. Therefore, if you feel that intentionally breaking your Battle Rat because you are unhappy with the performance of the edge under heavy impact is fair, that is up to you, as you are the one who gets to make the final call. Our warranty is up to you and is laid out very clearly on our warranty page, "We will honor any guarantee that you give your knife against major damage. TRANSLATION: LIFETIME WARRANTY... NO QUESTIONS ASKED"

Wow. While I don't plan on abusing my knife to the degree discussed here, this one paragraph just convinced me to buy a Swamp Rat or Busse. I'm beyond impressed.
