Hello Everyone,
I was going to submit this to the kith. However, we have had some damage to our home and family health problems that add to about 50K total. I am not able to continue with the knifemaking hobby unless I sell the things I make. My own trading and collecting have to be put on hold.
Therefore, I am selling this bauernwehr with a hamon. It is the same from the Show and Tell thread. The hamon is really beautiful in person. 11" blade, low manganese 1075. This is a nice blade. The only thing that comes close to a, "flaw" is that there is some texturing on one of the nickel silver bolsters from peeing the nagel down. I am reluctant to grind and polish that out because it would also reduce the strength of the attachment of the nagel. I don't want to polish because it would grind the peen button down. I would be willing to bet that a number of originals looked this way. I just want to mention it, it is not really significant. You can see the bolster with the peen in the first pic, it is just not at a high polish, but instead is textured a bit. Just want to mention so it is obvious.
