Hello Everyone,
I am selling this knife. The blade on this is the most beautiful piece of steel I have ever made. It has a subtle grain structure from pattern welding 400 layers in random fashion. The steels are w2 and low manganese 1075. It also has one of the most vibrant and interesting hamons you will ever see. The hamon has a holographic effect in person, and interacts nicely with the pattern in the steel.

This knife is meant to imitate a traditional European knife of the common people. The fittings are cow horn, nickel silver, and mild steel. The fit of all of the pieces is excellent. There is a small ding on the bottom of the handle in the horn that I chose to leave in rather than sand out in order to not change the shape of the handle slabs. It is a very small divot. Also, the pins are just visible inside the bolsters (nickel silver - the rivet for the nagel is, of course, visible).

This is a rare type of knife to be offered for sale, and you won't find another blade with more subtlety and visual interest. It is obviously a hand-made piece. No water jets, cncs, plasma cutters, etc. I did use a belt sander.

The blade is just at 11" long to give perspective.

$400 including shipping. Please pm me if you are interested.
