here are a few pics of the latest. I love the hamon you can get from this steel. Next one of these, I have to curve the nagle (guard on the side).

I've never seen a nagle on a piece that short before, is that common in historical pieces? Either way it looks great

yes - it is normal. In fact, on another forum, people were asking me if it was too long... so I guess it is just right. ha.
