I'm thinking of ordering a pair or two of the tong blanks from Polar Bear forge. The blanks themselves are just $10 or $12 but shipping is $16.85 for a flat rate box that fits up to 20-24 pairs.

If anyone else wants to order and pick them up from me (Berkeley) I'll pay shipping, I'm paying it anyhow. Heck, I'll deliver them if I can check out your shop, especially if you're near BART or otherwise somewhat easy to get to without a car.

I'm not in a big hurry, will wait a week or so and see if anyone decides to join.
Do you ever make it out this way? I'm often out in Fairfield and Vacaville - oh, that's not really closer, is it? OK. Map. I could take them to Pittsburg Bart.

It occurred to me that since I'm new to the board nobody knows me. I'd pay for them up front so you don't have to worry. I just ask that if anyone does decide to get some they follow through.
 
I rarely make it out to the bay anymore, but you know taking Bart out to baypoint would give me a good excuse to go kick Jonnymac in the shin and drink a beer or three!

LOL, Xander.......I got shins like titanium, and I never drink less than six beers when I have shop visitors! :D
