Yeah, got the BG today. It's a chopper, for sure. It will be interesting to compare the weight and balance to the CG. As forward weighted as this thing is, it seems like a very good thing that the CG was made from thinner stock than originally planned.
 
I'm also waiting to see if the saber grind will be the same height on the CG, or like the Lean Cut, the grind angle will be the same, so the thicker version will have a slightly higher grind. I'd prefer the latter, but am expecting the former.

I hadn't thought of this, but good point. It may be different as with the Chophouse.

I'm with you on preference and expectation. The initial Busse pic with the tan res c handle shows the same grind height as the black handled BB13 as well, so there's that. But maybe a higher grind height was another improvement made for balance? Here's hoping.

IF..IF the blades were surface ground after the primary grind there would be a difference in the sizes of the sabre spine and primary bevel. However, Jerry stated he was grinding down the blanks "prior" to grinding in the primary & secondary edge. So, it's anyone's guess if they'll try to match grind lines of the CG with the BG.

But I agree with you Brummie, it'd be ANOTHER welcome surprise if the sabre & primary bevels were scaled appropriate with the adjusted thickness of the Combat Grades.

Emailed Shaley and got er paid via PP. She said I was "on the list yet to be contacted". In the subject line to the email I sent I used my order number from my acct on the Busse website.
