Hi good people,just thought I'd share with youse my latest go at a Bali (number four),this time it was a commissioned custom,hope you'll like ...O/A 215 mm, Damascus blade at around 59 HRC, (stock Roman Privrel ) gold and sterling silver inlays ,Rubies,Titanium liners with stippled damascus bolsters (stock Randy Haas) ,Red Mallee burl (on hidden pins) ,bronze,copper ,featuring my unique piston driven self-locking latch ...it also has a hand carved,laced and lined leather sheath +case,but don't have pics of them here right now,sorry

Wow... Is that copper rod the piston for the latch? Is there a spring inside of it?

that copper part is actually only the outer sleeve, inside of that is a spring riding on a guide rod the whole assembly of the strut is actually made from 5 separate pieces ...btw...I can't flip to save myself lol,but the customer was kind enough to send me a video of him playing with it,check it out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltdoEePJzdM&feature=youtu.be
