BCCI December newsletter

The stamp on the D2 blade in the newsletter is for 1998. Any thoughts on this?

Probably just a blade they used for the depiction. If you look at the two 124 offerings one has the Idaho stamp (2005) while the other has the 2012 stamp.

Wait.......are you saying the 124 WON'T have an Idaho stamp??!!!!!????

That would be ....... false and deceptive advertising!!!

Looking at the pics i would expect the 124 to have the Idaho stamp. There was no mention of the pics being different to the knives we would receive. That is why i questioned the date stamp on the 110 d2 blade.

I think it was just photo shop to create an entire realistic picture. Inorder to show us what they would look like. Most likely the knives will have the BCCI stamp. DM

Yes, it might be a good idea for the BCCI to clear this up before we go farther down this road.

Next question would be: Will they have a real stamp or the phony engraving?

This makes sense. I'd be happy with the BCCI stamp. These are very cool knives!

If I were to join the BCCI say, tomorrow, would I be able to get this newsletter and be able to buy some of these knives? Does anyone know?

Yes i beleive there would not be a problem there. When you join you'll be given log on details to the web site and the newsletter can be found there with the order form.

I received the much anticipated paper version of the December 2012 BUCK COLLECTORS CLUB newsletter and, you know, I enjoy these more with each issue. A hearty handclasp and crushing bear hug plus a over-sized thank you kindly to all the elves, and their wives/girlfriends/others who have a hand in this club. You are all right.

The great picture of togetherness of Chuck and Lori Buck on the front page is heart-warming this time of year. Good to see good folk. Lori I need Chuck's heart smart diet recipes please. I'm looking forward to this Summer's visit and thank you for the wonderful, the stuff of dreams, invitation.

The page 10 BCCI Silver Anniversary Knives have been bot 18 times in my imagination already after seeing the electronic version of the newsletter. I need only to write the check for real now. Beautiful, beautiful work on all of them. Nickel silver, D-2 and polished blades. Oh boy. Well done. WOW! A feast for my sore eyes on cold dark Winter's day. A real feast.

I agree. Weeks back I read the Dec. newsletter on the club's web posting and I felt it was quite bland. Then yesterday I recieved my hard copy, brought it home and read the same articles and I was impressed.
So, impressed that the first thing I did today was mail a check to Georgia Foresman for the 110 with satin finish D2 blade. Plus, it carries in a brown leather sheath with the 25yr. logo stamped on it. Slap me with one! DM

This BCCI December newsletter was the best one in two years! I read it all and cover to cover. I just got my paper version yesterday after reading online. I must be old:D as the paper version is way better.

well well i jest got or found my news letter for dec
that D2 seems to have the U date code on it
does any one know how the blade will be id'ed on it as being d2
and will it have a reg date code or will it have custom stamp?

btw i used a D2 102 once to dress out a hog and it worked very well!
i even posted a picture here of that ...

Since BG42 isnt here to ask for further clarification, I will. Does this literally mean stamped, or etched? I've ordered already and don't care either way, but some might.
