After many years of thinking about it, I finally joined the BCCI. Received my membership package yesterday. I tried to contact the club president using the email address included in the package but the message got kicked back. If someone could please EM the correct address to me I'd greatly appreciate it.

Welcome to the club! I believe this is the new e-mail address for Jack:

Jack's new email address is: jforesman@embarqmail.com.

Welcome Porterkids,

If you like Buck knives this is the place for you.
I certainly have had lots of fun. gw

Thank you for the welcomes. I am primarily a bayonet collector with a large focus on the M9 bayonet. Because of the Phrobis/Mickey Finn association I also collect Buckmaster knives and the original Buck 186.

I've been a member of this forum for nine years. During that time I've posted a few times but my area of interest doesn't really mesh with the majority of members here. There seems to be a recent swell in interest in the Buckmaster (Buck 184) which prompted me to now join BCCI.

I am a Life Member of the NRA and the Forks of the Delaware Antique Arms Collectors, Member of the New England Antinque Arms Collectors and on the Board of Directors for the Society of American Bayonet Collectors (SABC). I write a monthly column at http://www.usmilitaryknives.com/porters_page.htm and also contribute as a moderator at http://www.quarterbore.net/forums/index.php A great deal of photgraphs can be found at these sites.

That is the correct new email address. However, Jack is not the current BCCI President; he is the Membership/Website Administrator. His son, John, is the BCCI President and his email address may be found in the newsletter.

Thanks for that correction. There must be a standard letter shell that is used for the new membership packets that hasn't been updated.

Welcome Bill!! I have to admit, I just always assumed that you were already a member. With your in depth knowledge of the 188/184/186, you will fit right in here! :D

Trax,

Let me know what you're looking for.

Bill -

I posted a thread at Quarterbore's...It never showed up... :(

Here is what piqued my interest... ;)

lancay_m11_eod_01.jpg

I already have the M9...Just need the 3 conversion parts...(or 4, if the plastic grip is different)...I have a Saved Search on eBay for them... :)

I saw a complete M11 on the 'Bay...but too $$$ for my taste...

Perhaps you could suggest a site where I might inquire about this "kit"???

You can go directly to Lan-Cay's website at lancay.com and try to buy from them directly. They used to sell retail but I think they now have a series of distributers that they might refer you to. You can also try a seller by the name of unnaturalone on ebay. He has a wide variety of M9 and M11 component parts. One word of warning, to convert the M9 to an M11 you are instructed to trim the two ears off the back of the plastic grip.

So it'll never be original after conversion... :(
