Edit 20170915: Listed knives have HT 2.0, where BCMW current HT is 2.5. In testing, 2.5 has better keen/very-sharp edge retention and tougher than 2.0. Thus offer a 20% discount on listed prices.

Please look at picture carefully and keep in mind - often picture looks nicer but sometime it's other way, especially for curly/burl wood handle.

* Simple kydex sheath - small+large teklok compatible holes.
* discounted price includes shipping fee in U.S. International is extra + risks are on buyer (custom to your addr)
* To buy: post "I'll take it" and pm or email me your paypal account to receive an invoice from me bcmw at flexbiz com (which also is my email addr)
* Unconditional warranty: return it within 45 days for a full refund

Sold $235 Niolox/Sb1 4.25" 64rc Utill dyed stabilized curly mango *carried & tested. I price this blade in same range with 10V, in spite of its low F&F blade finish (coarse scratches). Why? well, I like this knife performance a lot.

Luong,

Because of your long term business view & HT development process, I can ask you as maker what your 'best valued' from the list of your knives.

Unfortunately my light uses doesn't give BCMW knives the hardwork they deserved, yet I'm still drooling over the latest offering.

Can you tell me which one I should be getting? WAG: Niolox. Is it stainless enough? Crazy, I know, but want it loping coconut, thin peel mangoes without staining and shaving too. :o
Really like the handle shape of first one though. However, from my test, D2 by BCMW doesn't stain as easily as Spyderco M4, so semi stainless is good too. I'm thinking how too many good choices make choosing very tough. :D

Another good WAG, Chris! Niolox is best value among offering. It has same corrosion resistance as aeb-l (so yeah stainless enough). Trailing point is lousy for shaving - well very much so for me though. I think, a spear point bushcraft blade may works better for your 3 listed tasks. btw - 2nd best value is the D2 pair. Oh I've been 2x carried and hacked branches in hiking trail with the KOA 10v - no problem with edge, except 4.3oz is too light + big belly isn't ideal for chopping branches.

I lop a few young coconuts with thin 64rc edge by pressure push edge to entry, then push and rotate edge forth to cap the coconut. Some of these coconuts actually have semi-dark shell and quite firm thick meat.

Thanks for considering however you've too many knives already. aha but you don't have a good chomper yet ... I am making two 6.5" chompers in niolox 6.5mm thick, they have thin grind and fun to use.

Luong,

Thank you for advice, seems that better for me to wait for Niolox Chomper :D.

Hope your sale goes well and buyer of the D2 gives you more feedback than me with only light urban use.

And yes, I have way too many knives

I just want to say that I have a couple of Luong's knives in my collection, they get used regularly... I am extremely satisfied with the performance of these knives. I have also communicated extensively about various subjects of his knives via PM/Email... he is always very helpful and stands behind his knives 100%. One of my knives is 1095 @ 67 rc, which I promptly proceeded to impact the edge onto a marble-like window sill. The edge only rolled slightly, was easily resharpened in just a minute or two.

I also have a AEB-L @ 65? RC paring knife, which has quickly become my go to kitchen knife for just about everything. It has also seen harder use, separating cooked beef from bones with plenty of bone impacts, cutting through gobs of beef connective tissue, the occasional impact to edge with hard objects (same story, extremely minimal work to resharpen), light chopping on acacia wood cutting board (quite hard/strong, produced slight rolling at 12 DPS w/ micro bevel 15 DPS).

Cutting ability of both knives is also very high, meaning they have acute/thin grinds... which is quite impressive given the level of durability they have demonstrated. I actually requested Luong sharpen these a bit more acute then he normally uses, at roughly 12 DPS because I wanted to see how they compared to other knives I've used at similar geometry... needless to say they have performed extremely well for me. I would have a much larger collection of his knives if I could afford it... specifically #1 knife in this ad which I love.

Your feedbacks are well appreciated  Of course thanks for your good words (and thinned out dust layer on knife #1) :)
