OK guys it's a scandi grind. It is as flat as i can get it and it goes straight to the edge. the only thing i do other than grind to 220grit is go on the stroping wheel one trip on each side to make sure there is no wire edge. EVERY person that has looked at one and had an opinion on bushcraft, scandi, mora etc knives has liked the knife. I really like the BCNW-O1 I think it is a great knife and if you like O-1 and wood handles go for it. The Forester is just my interpretation of a great knife in my style 440C and micarta. I just took off the disclaimer on my site. I actually put it on trying to save myself some BS...bad idea. Ray Ennis Entrek USA
