 beautiful beautiful piece!!!
you sharks are lucky that i have to pass on this one... :grumpy: :D
somebody better jump on it quick

EDIT: mannnn that bdc is just glowing!!! perfect rig right there.
somebody please jump on it... i have to eat this month :p

it does share the double fuller feature... but the blade isnt stout enough to be foxy folly to me...
the handle also has a curve to it and is a chiruwa style & the spine is flat

if you wanted to... you could say its an m43 meets foxy folly :p

mmmm

well, my BDC has a spine as thick as a 20 inch AK - that is to say, it's massive. it is a leaf shaped fullered blade, just not as leafy as a foxy folly.

to compare two of the same length and weight would be interesting... the folly would be overall thinner. however, that BDC has a massive spine, and a very thin edge as well. two of my foxies are 30 ounces as is my chandan BDC. same length. i'll have to whip them out and compare and swing'em around.

there are foxy variants with chiruwa, named YCSs and a few actual rare foxies iirc... the BDC might feel more balance with the full tang. it still feels very weight heavy. a typical foxy in theory should have more weight up front.

so... hard to say :) the BDC is definitely on my favs list. the foxy just more so :>

lol i guess stout was the wrong choice of wording...
i meant broad... or "leafy" lol thats a new term for me :D

i guess if you managed to snag 3 foxies it would seem you favor them bladite :D :p

yeah, leafy :) many chinese blades are like this :> the bob lum spyderco variant (out of production) for example.

well, there's 2 BDCs as well. next time a chandan 10" shows up, i hope i can snag it, else special order ;) a 20-22 BDC (rare) would be sweet too.

Yahoo! I got it. This is my X-mas to me. Mahakala keep trying. Sometimes it takes a few tries to get what you want. I've tried for many Foxy's and missed. The BDC in my opinion is equally beautiful.

Very nice horn handle on that one. Wish I could swing it. This is one of my top 2 or 3 favorites, and I don't have a large sized horn BDC.

Nice weekend offering.

Thanks Norm,
I have the 14" of this same BDC and I love it. It does everything well and packs perfect. Can't wait to chop with the 18.
