I'd almost given up on them but DHL delivered them this AM along with some other stuff. Yangdu shipped everything that was prepaid. Dan has lists of some kind we need to tend to.

I've been down yesterday and today so bug Pen and Yangdu.

Kerambits turned out great. Pala carried some hardwood supplied by Dan for handles. I have a couple here that look stunning -- zebra and olive wood.

Well, all you woodchucks have fun bugging Dan & Yangdu. I'm headed back to the recliner.

I know I will have to PayPal $125.00 to you for the 14" BNM. Do we know how much for the Kerambit?

Sorry, guys. No pics.

Here's what's left:

14" BDCs - all horn = (4) left, $125 ea.

10" BDCs - all horn = (8) left, $100 ea.

Kerambit - horn = (2) left, $100 ea.
unknown wood = (3) left, $100 ea.
special wood = (2) left, $120 ea.


Better call quick - they're not going to last!

It's so funny to me, I had absolutely no interest in the kerambits at all, through the whole process. I think they're pretty silly really, JMHO. But when Uncle Bill sounds that clarion call, especially things with special wood, I just turn to putty and reach for my email :D I must control myself with the knowledge that a BDC is coming...

edit (5 minutes later): I'm weak I tell you, weak! My HIKV is out of control!!

I was on the list for a wood kerambit, and still want one.

What was the "special" wood, and are those already spoken for? I'll pay as soon as I know which I'll be getting. :)
 
better email quick. the "special wood" was (1) zebrawood and (1) olivewood - special high-quality slabs handpicked by me from my stash ;) and donated "to the cause". Price is $120.


I have no idea what the other "unknown wood" is....:confused:
 
I heard that Dan picked the iron wood one for himself, didn't know much about it so tried Google and got this:

Excuse me, Dan, but how can they be all gone? I specifically stated that I would pay when they came in, for all 3 pieces, and since we were going by a list I presume that is being followed. (?) I reiterated this in the thread on this subject of 5/7. Now all of a sudden the people that signed up have to compete with those who did not?

I am ready to pay immediately, now that they are in. I did not prepay so that I could buy several hundred dollars of other stuff from HI in the last 2 months.

Please clarify.

Only 10 showed up, Norm. Those who prepay always get first dibs.

The sign-up list was to see how many we should order. I ordered a lot more than 10, but sometimes we gotta take what we get.

I apologize to all those who were hopeful in getting a 14 inch BDC....Hopefully another shipment will come in.

Makes sense. Sorry I didn't pick up on that. I just saw "they're in!" and went for it, and assumed that the whole order had arrived.

I'll check with UB and Yangdu to see if anything is left. Guess I should have held off on the other goodies and prepaid, but I honestly didn't think it was a big deal.

Do you still have that last Kerambit? Is it wood or horn handled?
