2 massive old German Bowie knives from around 30 years ago
CRKT Van Hoy Snaplock
Heaps of good quality kitchen knives Eicker Messer and similar
And in the shed the most used knife of all a simple self-made Kiridashi from a HSS Power Hacksaw blade with Paracord wrap.
As can be seen from the list, I dont care if a knife is expensive, so long as I have the appropriate knife for the job at hand. i.e. If I am wearing a suit and want to cut a cigar, the Spyderco Kiwi gets a run, If I need to cut something that is potentially damaging to the blade, out comes the Sanrenmu and if it is a straight scribed line in a piece of wood to mark a saw cut out comes my home-made Kiridashi.
