Be careful when spraying Poison

Every Summer, the university hired a fellow to go around and spray the unused buildings. I talked to him a couple of times; he wore no respiratory protection or any other gear. He was quite nuts....
I couldn't swear it was due to the spray...

I took a job doing hospital security for the year between my last and present jobs... They would have me work dispatch when the regular dispatcher was off as I had some experience.
The dispatch room was a little square space in our basement offices.
One night, while I was on the radio, the hospital bug-guy came in and started shooting stuff along the baseboards. I didn't even notice what he was doing till he was nearly done.
On the way home, I got quite ill, and had to pull over and hurl....

The next time the guy came around, I told him to hit the road. Threatened to shoot him.... With a smile.

My office is not well ventilated and gets hot so I put a small desk fan on the floor by the door to pull in cooler air. Twice our pest control guy came by and used his baseboard spray next to my fan and sent me home with a virtual asthma attack. I finally got him banned from inside the building.

Ghost, that the manufacturer said "eh, don't worry about it" when you were exhibiting exposure symptoms concerns me. I think you should take the time to at least stop by your doctor's office. Most Black Flag products contain permethrin, which is pretty toxic and a known carcinogen.

Well, when I called poison control they asked me to list ingredients, which were Cypermethrin, Pyrethrins, and Prallethrin. They told me they were low toxicity and highly irritating, the only advice I got was basically "sounds like you didn't wash your hands good enough, wash your hands for at least 15 minutes. I will give you a follow up call later"
I'm feeling fine today and fingers are not very stiff.
