bead blast finishes, like Kershaw

ok, so i made a post awhile back on the Kershaw/ZT thread section about how to get a beadblast finish just like Kershaw does on their blades, asking things like what operating pressure their beadblasters do their finishes at, and what bead material they use to blast; since I have a beadblasting cabinet at home I'd love to be able to do that to some of my blades, but i'm open to other people's services too. Even though I stressed that I actually love their beadblast finishes, I still only received comments along the lines of "why would you want a beadblast finish? nobody likes that... stonewash would be better..." :grumpy: etc. So now I'm asking here! :D Have you done, or had someone else do, a beadblast finish? How similar does it compare to Kershaw's? Who/what did you use, etc. Thanks guys

Best,

Trev

i think they use regular glass beads. never use sand since it cuts deep. i have glass beaded a few knives and they look good but you have to remove the blade from the frame and tape the pivot hole and area the washers cover.
