Hello,

I recently knocked off the sharp edges/corners of the G10 scales on a knife I recently purchased and it now feels great, but the grippyness of the G10 was lost/smoothed out during the sanding process. I was hoping someone could hit these with a quick bead blast to rough up the surface of the G10 and bring back the grippyness without removing too much material.

If someone could help me out with this, I'd appreciate it.

Thank You,

Mike

Just a thought….. I would suggest you might try to use some low grit sandpaper to retexture. G-10 will hold the texturing of whatever you use to shape it, so the rougher the better if that's the type of aggressive feel you are after.

Good Call Red, I should have done that, but I'm afraid I went too fine on the final softening of the edges and if I go back to a larger grit, I'll take off too much material. You're right, I should have started/stayed with a lower/rougher grit. At this stage, I'm thinking a quick once over in a media box with some fine beads will bring back the texture without changing the dimensions hardly at all. Thanks for the reply and recommendation!
