Bead Blasted Mule?

Personally if it were my knife I'd just bead blast the blade, leave the handle portion (steel) untouched since your adding a handle so it still retains a bit more corrosion resistance there as it be a bit harder to deal with corrosion there once you add the handle assuming you manage to get it to rust. And quite honestly the 2 different finishes done in such a way I think would look cool as I don't think I have seen it done before.

Other option if you never plan on removing the handle that might work good is bead blasting the handle, than adding it to the blade than bead blasting it so that everything that is visible is bead blasted but you still retain a bit more corrosion resistance underneath the handle where you can't see. And since you bead blasted the handle the first time around you already made sure you did it properly and got every area of it, which includes areas that may be harder to get to with it on the blade itself.

Just some thoughts, I've never done this before so take it with a grain of salt. Enjoy your knife I got the shipping confirmation on mine yesterday, it should be here by Monday so with any luck were both be 2 extremely happy customers. And just saw your other thread with you building it so I am eagerly waiting to see the finished product. (Though I just hit refresh on that page and it seems you updated it since I started typing, I am wondering if your already done and just posting everything up now, either way good luck and I hope you enjoy it.)

Thanks. No I am not done. Waiting for the epoxy to cure. So it will be this weekend before it is finished.

Blasting opens up pores in the steel allowing for humidity to remain, and can lead to corrosion. I've seen it happen in S30V from some manufacturers. That finish also allows wear to show almost immediately.

I agree.

Personally I don't like the current fads we have with stonewashing, leaving knife flats with forging marks, etc. I like the fine grind finish of something like a satin Para2 blade. Regarding bead blasting, that is definitely not a good idea for a knife blade. I don't know what it gains other than making the blade a different color or hiding poor grinding. I bought this EDI Genesis a long time ago, based on its overall design shape. It came with a bead blasted ATS34 blade and as you can see the blade stained very easily. This photo is after normal use. I spent a lot of time trying to clean up the blade and only improved it a little bit. I agree that it would show wear quicker but I wasn't cutting things that could scratch into the surface easily.
