They are probably seeing if the shooting was justified. A charging grizzly can cover 100 feet in 2 seconds. Guy must have been a great shot to pull, fire 9 shots and score in less than 2 seconds while amped on adrenaline. Was it really a charge or did the hikers come up on a bear, freak out and start blasting. Maybe he wanted to see if he could take down a grizzly with his new gun. Who knows ?
