I've had trouble finding certain stuff too. As for the traction tape, maybe they were talking about Hockey Tape, it's fairly grippy stuff. Or even the tape people use on the lips of stairs to prevent slipping when wet.

If I didn't find the Plastic-Coat, I was going to use some deck tape from the local Skate-Board shop. It's thick, rather stiff and really grippy, however, I wasn't looking forward to the deck tape rubbing on my chest !

Always more options to try . . .

Nice work, the hole pattern is very well laid out.

How hard was it to drill all of the holes?

I heard some complaints about the material being rather hard to work with.

I drilled the holes with my old concrete drills set, resharpened to more suitable for steel drilling angle.
