Bear Grylls KNife

Well, with the exchange rate, it's running about 500 bucks, with a two year wait time. So, I'd say that he's selling as many as he can make.

Everything is worth what people are willing to pay, I've seen people on the thread drop 600, why drop the price because some people don't like it?

This is a waste of space thread imo.

I am not trying to tell anyone how to spend their money...hey if u have 600 bucks to buya knife go for it.....but unless its made of space age materials or is the actual kife used in te show.i can;t see it really being worth the money.....the mark up must be incredible....

Its not space age materials, but it is a high quality steel, and he does use it in the show. I believe he has used it since the release, i just dont think he uses the model with his name on it.

It is worth noting also that it isn't exactly a production knife, they are all hand made to order, plus it has a really nice sheath cant we all agree on that??

I'd buy one if I had the lettuce. It looks cool, and has an awesome sheath. I just can't afford the asking price.

I did buy a RC4 which is really nice and works great. I wish RAT would offer the RC4 in some kind of stainless steel. That would be my affordable Bear Grylls (like) knife. The 1095 is good, but stains, and rusts easily. I'm not into the coating too much.

strip it and then blue it like some of the guys. or you could just wipe it on your shirt after use and you should be fine :D

Folks no need to get all super serious this forum is supposed to be fun...this thread is not ment to poke fun at anyone...I just now ordered a Rat-4 with oranage g-10 handles for 100 bucks....some of my friends would think that is a waste of money....the knife is a present to myself....but people can spend their hard earned money on whatever they flost there boat...i am just trying to create a discussion...is the knife worth 600 bucks maybe somoene can suggestion a knife that is equally as good for less money....

Can't read..... from all.... the periods.... why so many.... useless periods ....

What this thread needs is an enema! Or a cheap RC-4. Good knife, actually. I got the partially serrated model. Then I ground out the serrations, dropped the point some and made a recurve. The plain edge was not available at the time I ordered.

Actually, that's the best post on this thread -- beautiful job on that knife, perfect recurve, just right. Good pics, too.

But how many rounds can it put down range. I hope you were not duped into buying a knife instead of a gat.

why does a pistol have more inherent value than a knife?

Because you can shoot your food into bite sized chunks why waste all the effort cutting your food?

9mm goes through packing tape like well.... a hot knife through butter?

What on earth would make a person buy a 600 dollar knife.....save 500 bucks and get a RAT KNife......with the 500 bucks u can get a nice pistol...lol

i have paid over $1K for a folder because if you want a waved bolstered
emerson custom ya gotta choke up ~$1K, unless ya get lucky and "win" one at a show (by winning you get the privelage of buying one for $550 lol) so obviously i feel some are worth that kinda dollar, i dont think the grylls knife is worth that kinda dollar though and dont think many custom fixed blades are worth that kinda dollar, not to speak of the grylls knife which is a production, for that kinda dollar i would get a very very nice busse and save some $$ to boot, or maybe a mad dog, something like that, at least if ya wanna sell the thing ya could get a pretty good chunk of the $ back on a mad dog or a busse, i wonder what a litely used grylls knife would go for??

Whow, stunning work  ! Could you make a thread (maybe WSS or rat forum) so this one can die away?
