Bear Hill II....Warning nice knife content !!!

If y'all remember a few posts back I was going to take my girls up Bear Hill but the trek woulda been a little too far for Snicker so this time I parked a little nearer and headed for it again !

That's our goal in the distance.....

I decided to gather some tinder and practice my fire making while nobody was around. I found some fatwood and while not the best fatwood, I figured it would do and used my ML Kephart to shave it up.....

I place the tinder into a crack to stop it blowing away as it was quite windy, 3 strikes later we had fire !

Maisy seemed to enjoy the views.....

It worked until she became distracted by an Eagle flying overhead !!!!

I also used my Keppy to make a fuzzy to show ya and it makes them nice and......errm.....fuzzy !!!!

Wow, great view! Snicker looks hesitant about going down to where Maisy is for some reason, maybe she doesn't want to leave you? :D

LOL! That must be the most well used firesteel in North America. 3 strikes though, that's skill!
 
That's really good stuff pit, always neat to see the pooches! I do need to get one of ML's Woods and Bush knives..
