Anyone watch Men vs. Wild last night? I laughed my a** off. Bear also said something about coming back to the shelter in the morning for breakfast.:D
 
Will Ferrell was hilarious. Would have been better with him and les stroud though. i was getting tired of all the bear commentary.
 
Actually I wasnt a fan of Will here. The shtick didnt work for me on this one, my g/f wanted to watch the episode and all I can think of is...."is this funny?" of course I was dead tired last night so nothing was going to be to me.

I love how they showed him with Bear in the little snow shelter but did they really spend the night I wonder?

Because of the naure of the show, I doubt they spent the night there. I would have thought Will would have made some comments about the night in the shelter if they did stay there. Just my guess... I'm not necessarily saying they couldn't have stayed in the shelter though...

I watched the show, and I was entertained. My wife was laughing a lot. Too many commercials, I thought.
 
I'm a Ferrell fan and I thought it was pretty funny. Of course Bear was being Bear, it would have been beeter if they actually did some survival stuff though. I had to laugh when he was giving Will some supplies, and gave him a genuine signature series Bear Grylls knife.
 
It was pretty decent I thought. Parts were funny, and it really was like hiking in the woods with a buddy. I had the sense that Will was still acting a little bit - yelling "Mommy" while rappeling was silly. You have to give both of them credit though. Kudos to Will for manning up a little bit, and Bear for being patient. Slogging through 3 foot deep powder is a cold, blinding hell. I liked that Will actually made a fire at the end, and the ladder scene was hilarious.
 
In Bulgaria there's no Man VS Wild -we have Ultimate Survival with Bear Grylls...
On which channel is Man VS Wild ? Ultimate Survival is on Discovery.
I like Bear Grylls - he's really crazy bastid :D
 
I really appreciated this episode. As much as people knock Bear, I would love to drink whiskey with him and pick his brain. The guy is a riot and, I bet, a lot of fun to just hang out with. Seeing Will Ferrell last night in the mix made it even better. Very entertaining show and Ferrell dead pans his lines like no other. "I make them out of pine all the time" was classic!
 
I give it a "dull" rating but did watch the show so that's something. Dragging out celebrities is a good angle to capture some viewers.

Thinking back, is it just me or was there an obvious lack of exhaled vapor for two guys wandering around in -20 temperatures...maybe it was -20 C but even then I would expect clouds every time they exhaled. Did I just miss it?

I like how Ferrell commented: "Thats a nice knife!" He also showed off the knife a bunch....... Hes not pluggin anything in this episode, is he?:rolleyes:
