I ordered a Bura Silver mounted Death Ray/Laser Beam (with the optional cho) a couple of weeks ago but haven't recieved it yet.

Has it been shipped or is it stuck in customs?

That goes for me too! On my last khuk it took 8 days to get here from Reno (about 300 miles?) and after 5 days I was convinced an error had been made and emailed Uncle. He did some research and they had sent out so much stuff he and Yangdu thought they had sent it out to someone else who had beat me on the UBBB. Three days later, it shows up! FedEx dropped the ball on that one big time, but so far HI shipping has been perfect, and I have received more than my share of triangular _and_ large square HI boxes (as my wife will readily tell you!)

I can also tell you that the "blems'" on my last one were so minor I couldn't believe they were categorized as such! I fixed one scabbard "blem" to my satisfaction with my trusty black sharpie marker in about 15 seconds. The hole is still there, but you have to look for it...

Uncle Bill, I sincerely hope you get some relief from the pain and depression. Let us know if there is _anything_ we can do. Take it slow and keep your spirit strong. Thank God you have a good woman with you!

If Zoloft doesn't work as well as you'd like, there are variations of that type of med that have different effects on folks. The variations of side-effect/efficacy are astounding. Your Doctor should have samples you can try to see which works best for you. Give it a while for your blood chemistry to put it into effect, though. It is not like aspirin...it takes a few weeks.

Some of the older generation of anti-depressants had unexpected, beneficial, side effects and are marketed now (same chemistry) as anti-smoking meds!


(There's a lot to be said for being "bull-headed." Not that I would know. ;) )

Sorry to hear that you're falling apart at the seams a bit... Your great sense of humor, warmth, and friendship is heartfelt here on the forum and in your e-mails, so at least there's a balance. ;) I do hope that some of your physical woes are able to be resolved, and the sooner the better. Sorry to hear that Yangdu is caught in the crossfire a bit. Is she meditating or praying a bit to help her through this difficult time?

Smoke going up as soon as this is posted. Hopefully things will soon come around on the upswing.

thats normal, you have to find the right ones for you .
i tyried 4 differrrent ones till i was given zoloft and in four weeks i was on the road to normalcy again.
took a total of 14 weeks to kick right in.

so as i said bill go to your doc and ask to be given zoloft, i am 90 percent sure they will work for you.
and as i said they have very little or no side effects.
they take a few weeks to kick in but WORK :)

THINKING OF YOU BILL PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF IT WORKS FOR YOU. REGARDS KEN :)
 
I don't want to sound like a broken record uncle bill but your health is whats important right now. After thats taken care of. Everything else will fall into place.

I feel for you Bill but I know it can get better. I damned sure have!
And I credit a lot of it to the prayers offered up by all of the gang here as well as friends and family.
Have the docs check your testosterone level too. It is absolutely amazing at what happens when your own body quits manufacturing it!!!! And when your body gets really down it can cause a lack of testosterone, it did me.
If you're having to get up umpteen times a night to pee ask your docs about getting some Terazosin. It not only keeps you from getting up all night to pee but helps you sleep as well.
The last week now I have slept all night through and I haven't done that for a few years now.:D
Damn but it feels good to feel good! Of all the things a person might have Good Health is the Most Precious of them!
If you have good health you can get everything else you need!
 
I think I've had every medical test known to man. Testosterone level checked normal. Everything checks normal so I think then why do I feel so damned bad.

because drs. go by a standard chart for what is normal and not normal. they don't take into consideration that everyone is different. finding a dr that does is a real treat. if the tests are borderline and you have all the symptoms of a particular problem, doesn't it make sense that maybe borderline for the standard might be LOW for you???? my thyroid tests are very borderline and I have all the classic symptoms of a thyroid problem, and even responded wonderfully when they gave me thyroid....but then a dr said that I didn't need it, that borderline was normal for me....alas all the symptoms reappear :grumpy: :grumpy: Oh, well, life goes on :(
 
I have the doctor I want. He is a devout Hindu and shares many of the same beliefs I have. The most important one being that I believe my death day was written with my first breath and there's nothing anybody can do to change it. I told Dr. Reddy that he and nobody else could change this and that all I was looking for was the easiest way to get to my death day, and that anything he and I did was simply part of our karmic dance and could not change the unchangeable. We both believe this and that's nice.

However, I get the distinct impression that I am NOT on the easiest path. I may get some morphine sulfate from the VA and drug myself for awhile and see if that's any better.

Yvsa, I do believe in the power of prayer and I am eternally grateful for every good thought, word, deed offered up on my behalf. The positive vibrations change the song of the Universe and can make things much easier but I do not believe prayers can change basic karma. I do not promote this as a belief system but am merely stating what I believe and what works for me. It may not work for anybody else.
