Well its not exactly a hawk but not quite a beaded axe so its something in between
Anyway it has a mild steel body forge welded around a bit of Aldo's 1075. Edge hardened and tempered. Good chopping critter 
It has a full 3 1/2" wide cutting edge and the head is 5 3/4" long overall with filework on the spine. Etched to an aged patina. The haft is a real nice 19" piece of curly maple. Stained with aqua fortis and hand rubbed with boiled linseed oil. The sheath is hand sewn and covers the blade very nicely. It uses a "sam browne" retaining stud and strap.
