bearded hatchet use?

does anyone have experience using a bearded hatchet?

just wondered if you've ever had any trouble getting splinters in your fingers or hand carving or shaving wood?

i modified my carpenters hatchet into a kinda bearded hatchet,its awesome for carving or shaving wood,no splinters just beautiful curly shavings ready for the fire kit
