I guess you can call that a knife. You are the maker so you can call it whatever you want-or you can apply "Justice Roberts" logic" and call it a knife. It's cool whatever it is.:D:D:D
 
I call it ,a very nice cutting, skinning, fleshing, handy hunting tool..
It looks like its hair splitting sharp..

Not this one but I have used a little hatchet with a similar blade a lot. It takes a little getting used to (easy to cut a finger) but it is very sharp and cuts well. I am not fond of using a baton with a knife but for those that do, I think this would work well.
 
Here is a note that I just got back from a customer.

Mr drew, I took your bearded knife camping with me. The bearded knife was used exclusively for food prep. Treated it like an ullu with a handle. Worked great.
